September IDN Quarterly Newsletter 2025

Dear Friends, Members, and Allies of the Degrowth Movement,

Welcome to the third International Degrowth Network newsletter of 2025!

The IDN continues to grow and connect people around the world who are working toward just and degrowth-oriented futures.
This quarter's newsletter features one of our most impactful projects carried out: the Degrowth Events Fund.

We have also included two new sections expected to keep them as regular ones: new members and next IDN events. Last but not least, a full update of the main work done by our circles.

Hope you enjoy the read ☺️

📆 Degrowth Events Fund 2025 was a success!

Last April IDN Events Circle launched the Degrowth Events Fund for 2025 and the interest received was overwhelming!! Here some of the main numbers from the process:

  • 54 applications received and evaluated.
  • 15 events funded (list below)
  • A total of €13,225 distributed (funds significantly increased from initial 7500€!!!)

See the full transparency report of the selection process here. (external link)

It looks like there is a clear need for more funds going forward and this is a space where IDN could add a clear value to the Degrowth movement as a central and transparent management group. If you have experience in raising and managing Funds, please contact us at info@degrowth.net (external link)
